You And Me Against The World- Helen Reddy

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Today I dedicate a very special song to you all, "You and Me Against The World" by Helen Reddy. It was recorded in 1974 and written by Kenny Ascher and Paul Williams. The song was suppose to be a love ballad but Reddy believe it to be more of a song from a mother to their child. Her daughter, Traci is speaking at the beginning and end of the song.

"You and Me Against The World" in a way, has become an anthem for single mothers. It has always held a sentimental significance for me.

I hope you enjoy and please excuse me that I picked the animal video, my son loves all animals.

Happy Mother's Day

You and me against the world
Sometimes it seems like you and me against the world
When all the others turn their backs and walked away
You can count on me to stay
